RICARDO salazar is a well known Northern New Mexican santero from the Taos area. Ricardo carves santos and other religious icons using mostly a rich cedar wood from Northern New Mexico. Ricardo has won many awards for his exceptional wood carvings of St. Francis, Moses, the Good Shepherd, San Pasqual and other religious figures. Ricardo's santos are placed in museums and churches throughout the country. Ricardo shows annually at the prestigious Santa Fe Spanish Market in late July. | ||
