BLUE CORN aka Crucita Gonzales Calabaza was a famous San Ildefonso potter who re-introduced the polychrome styles of pottery making at San Ildefonso Pueblo and who became a leader in this pottery style. Blue Corn was born in 1920 and died in 1999.
Blue Corn's pottery was known for cloud and feather designs. Blue Corn won many awards for her pottery that is found at the Smithsonian and other museums here and internationally.
