Rose Pecos-Sun Rhodes started making pottery and storytellers in the middle 1970s. Rose learned her craft from her grandmother, Louisa F. Toledo, and her mother, Carol Pecos. Rose makes female storytellers with the flowing skirts forming a base around the storyteller, representing the Navajo dress. Rose now lives in Wyoming with her husband, Virgil SunRhodes, and her children. Rose showed at Santa Fe Indian Market annually for years, winning Best of Division and other awards. | |||
