Orlando Myerson is a very talented Navajo sandpainter from the Four Corners area near Shiprock and Kirtland on the Navajo reservation. Orlando and his brothers Sammy and Frederick make very intricate sandpaintings that closely depict the beautiful ceremonial Navajo sandpaintings used for someone who is ill or sick. Orlando learned the craft of Navajo sandpainting art from his late father Cecil Myerson. His mother, Jean Myerson, was also a very fine Navajo Sandpainter.
