Michael Kanteena makes ancient appearing figures, including deer and kachinas as well as pots and plates. Michael was inspired by older pottery styles. His work has the flavor of the Anasazi or Mimbres pottery designs. Michael fires twice: first in a kiln for strength and then fires outside for the ancient look. Michael received a degree in Fine Arts in 1981 from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. | ||
