Diane Lewis is one of the well known Lewis sisters from Acoma Pueblo. Diane and her sisters have been making pottery since the middle to late 1970s. Penfield was one of the first, if not the first, to buy from the Lewis sisters. Penfield helped Diane and her sisters get started in the artistic careers. Diane's seed pots and plates are beautifully created, and painted with various insect and bird designs from the Mimbres period. Diane has won many awards for her pottery at vaious shows, including Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum Show.
