THELMA SCHECHE is a well known Zuni carver along with her deceased husband Aaron and other Scheche family members. They have contributed to the development of Zuni carving by the creation of honest and traditional, old style carvings that continue to be popular years after their inception. Several of Thelma's family members are active carvers today, including Lorandina Sheche and Marnella Kucate. Thelma's father was Theordore Kucate. | ||
