Ron Laahty carves special turtles, sometimes stacked in various directions, and sometimes standing alone. Ron's turtles are made from more commonly used materials such as picasso marble and serpentine as well as lapis and other more unusual stone. Ron's uncle, Ricky Laahty, is also a well known Zuni carver.

Sadly, Ron recently died in the summer of 2021.
