MIchael Laweke is an established Zuni Fetish carver who specializes in carving Corn Maiden and Storyteller Maiden Fetishes. Michael carves fetishes from Mother of Pearl, Turquoise, Antler, and other stone and material. Michael's uncle, Ervin Laweke, and his brother, Darren Laweke, influenced Michael's development as an expert Zuni fetish carver. Michael started carving fetishes when he was less than eight years old. His father was Felix Charlie. | ||
