FERNANDO LAIWAkete is part of a renowned family of Zuni Fetish carvers whose fetish carvings are strong, bold, simplistic and often stylized in look. Fernando uses a variety of gorgeous stone and material for his beautiful fetishes. His brothers are also noted Zuni Fetish carvers including Bernard, Rodney, and Donovan. Kenric Laiwakete, Fernando's nephew, is a fine Zuni fetish carver as well.
